XMP 3.0: Next-Generation Overclocking

The Fury Beast DDR5 is the first module in this range to support Intel XMP 3.0 — the DDR5-generation successor to XMP 2.0. XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO are the two new DDR5 overclock specs that include customizable profiles for speeds and timings, with Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 covering compatible overclock solutions for both platforms. XMP 3.0 allows for up to five stored profiles (compared to XMP 2.0’s two), and supports user-customisable profile slots stored directly on the module’s SPD hub — a DDR5-specific capability not available on any DDR4 XMP 2.0 module. Enabling XMP 3.0 in BIOS unlocks DDR5-4800 at CL38 at 1.1V; the JEDEC default without XMP is typically DDR5-4800 at CL40.

XMP 3.0 for rated CL38 timings: Without enabling XMP 3.0 in BIOS, this kit defaults to JEDEC DDR5-4800 at CL40. Enable XMP 3.0 to unlock the rated CL38-38-38 profile. AMD EXPO is also supported for Ryzen 7000 (AM5) platforms.

XMP 3.0 is natively supported on Intel 12th gen and later; AMD EXPO is supported on AM5 platforms.
