The TP-Link DeltaStream DS-P7001-01 is a compact single-port GPON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) in a pizza-box form factor — the entry point to TP-Link's DeltaStream GPON infrastructure range. A single GPON PON port (via SFP slot) supports up to 128 ONTs at a 1:128 split ratio, with a 10G SFP+ and a 2.5 GbE RJ45 uplink, and flexible DC or 802.3at PoE power options. Aimed at small operators, building-scale deployments, businesses, and MDUs that need a proper managed GPON OLT without the scale or cost of a multi-port chassis.

What an OLT Is — and Who This Is For

This is operator/infrastructure equipment, not a CPE device. An OLT (Optical Line Terminal) sits at the network side of a GPON deployment — it’s the device that connects to your internet uplink and drives the fibre plant out to subscriber ONTs/ONUs at the premises. If you’re running the XC220-G3, XC220-G3v, XX230V or any other GPON CPE at the customer end, the DS-P7001-01 is the OLT that drives them.

The DS-P7001-01 is specifically sized for small-scale deployments: a single building, a business campus, an MDU, a small WISP, or an enterprise private fibre network — anywhere you need a proper managed OLT for up to 128 subscribers without deploying a full multi-port rack OLT.

GPON Port — 128 ONTs, Class C++

The single PON port (SFP slot, SC/UPC interface) runs at 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream at TX 1490 nm / RX 1310 nm on 9/125 µm single-mode fibre, with a 1:128 split ratio and a maximum logical transmission distance of 60 km. The Class C++ optical budget on the SFP module allows for deeper splits and longer reach than the standard Class B+ used in most GPON CPE.

GPON SFP module sold separately. The PON port is an SFP slot — the OLT SFP module must be sourced separately. Confirm the SFP specification (Class B+, C+, or C++) matches your planned split ratio and reach before purchasing.

Uplink Ports

Uplink interfaces are 1× 10 Gbps SFP+ port and 1× 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps RJ45 port, plus a dedicated RJ45 MGMT port and RJ45 console port for out-of-band management. The dual uplink options — a 10G SFP+ for fibre backbone connectivity and a 2.5 GbE copper port as a secondary or alternative uplink — provide deployment flexibility in both data-centre and on-premises environments.

Power — DC or PoE

Power can be supplied via DC adapter (12V/2.5A) or 802.3at PoE (42.5–57V/0.6A), with a maximum power consumption of 17W. The PoE power option is particularly useful for deployments where the OLT is mounted remotely — on a comms board, in a cabinet without a power strip, or in a space served by an existing PoE switch — without needing a separate DC supply run.

Provisioning and Management

ONU authentication supports auto-authentication for zero-touch ONT onboarding. OMCI management is supported per ITU-T G.984.4/G.988 standards. Centralised management is available via the DeltaStream PON Management System (DPMS), SNMP, CLI, and web UI. DPMS supports batch configuration, firmware upgrades, reboots, multi-site management, intelligent network monitoring, and real-time network overviews across multiple OLT deployments.

L2/L2+ Features

Software features include Static Routing, IGMP Snooping and MLD Snooping, DHCP Server and Relay, ACL, 802.1X authentication, rogue ONU detection and isolation, uplink/downlink AES data encryption, IEEE 802.1p/DSCP QoS, Voice VLAN, multi-service traffic identification and rate limiting, and auto VoIP.

The TP-Link DeltaStream DS-P7001-04 is a 4-port pizza-box GPON Optical Line Terminal supporting up to 512 ONTs across four 2.5G PON SFP ports at a 1:128 split ratio per port. Suited to small-to-medium operators, MDU deployments, and enterprise private fibre networks needing room to grow.

Four Ports, 512 ONTs

The DS-P7001-04 provides 4× 2.5G PON SFP ports, each supporting a 1:128 split ratio — accommodating up to 512 ONTs across the device. Each PON port operates independently, so the four ports can serve four separate fibre distribution legs simultaneously, whether serving different buildings, floors, or network zones. GPON data rates are 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream per port, at TX 1490 nm / RX 1310 nm on 9/125 µm single-mode fibre, with SC/UPC connectors and Class C+ optical power, at up to 20 km transmission distance.

GPON SFP modules sold separately. The four PON ports are SFP slots. Class C+ OLT SFP modules must be sourced separately and matched to your planned split ratio and distance.

Redundant Dual Power Supplies — a Key Step Up from the -01

The most significant operational difference between the DS-P7001-04 and the single-port DS-P7001-01 is power redundancy. The DS-P7001-04 includes dual built-in AC and DC power supplies — AC input 100–240V 50/60Hz; DC input −38.4V to −72V — with a maximum power consumption of 58W. Where the -01 relies on a single DC adapter or PoE input, the -04’s dual hot-swappable AC+DC PSUs provide carrier-class resilience: an AC mains failure fails over to the DC input without service interruption. This makes the -04 appropriate for deployments where uptime requirements are stricter.

Uplink and Management Ports

Interface complement is: 4× 2.5G PON SFP slots, 1× 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink, 1× 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 uplink, 1× RJ45 MGMT port (out-of-band), 1× RJ45 Console port, and 1× Alarm port (reserved). The dedicated MGMT port keeps management traffic separated from subscriber data — important for production deployments. The 10G SFP+ uplink connects to your backbone or aggregation switch; the GbE RJ45 uplink provides an alternative copper uplink option.

Provisioning and Management

ONU management uses standard OMCI (ITU-T G.984.4/G.988) with ONU auto-authentication for zero-touch ONT onboarding. Centralised management runs through the DeltaStream PON Management System (DPMS), SNMP, CLI, and web UI — the same management stack as the -01 and -08, so mixed fleets are managed from one platform.

L2/L2+ Feature Set

Software features include Static Routing, DHCP Server and Relay, ACL, 802.1X authentication, ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, IGMP Snooping, MLD Snooping, multi-service traffic identification and rate limiting, rogue ONU detection and isolation, and uplink/downlink AES data encryption. The addition of ARP Inspection and IP Source Guard on the -04 (over the -01) reflects its positioning for slightly more demanding operator and enterprise deployments.

The TP-Link DeltaStream DS-P7001-08 is the top-tier unit in the DeltaStream pizza-box GPON OLT range, delivering 8 GPON PON ports at a 1:128 split ratio per port for up to 1024 ONTs from a single device. It provides dual 10G SFP+ uplinks, hot-swappable redundant AC+DC power supplies, a full L2 and advanced L3 feature set, and centralised management via DPMS — in a 1U rack chassis suited to small-to-medium operators, MDU deployments, and enterprise-scale private fibre networks.

Eight Ports, 1024 ONTs

The DS-P7001-08 provides 8 PON ports (SFP slots), each supporting a 1:128 split ratio, accommodating up to 1024 ONTs across the device. Each port is independent, so the eight legs can serve separate buildings, floors, or distribution zones simultaneously — or be combined via passive splitters to maximise reach and density within a single zone. GPON data rates are 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream per port at TX 1490 nm / RX 1310 nm on 9/125 µm single-mode fibre, with SC/UPC connectors and Class C+ optical power, at up to 20 km transmission distance.

Class C+ OLT SFP modules must be sourced separately. Confirm optical budget, split ratio, and reach requirements before purchasing.

Dual 10G SFP+ Uplinks — Double the -04

Uplink interfaces are 2× 10 Gbps SFP+ ports, 1× 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 uplink, 1× RJ45 MGMT port, 1× RJ45 Console port, and 1× Alarm port. The step from one 10G SFP+ (on the -04) to two is meaningful at this ONT density: with up to 1024 subscribers, the dual 10G SFP+ ports allow link aggregation or active/standby uplink redundancy to the aggregation layer, protecting against a single uplink failure.

Hot-Swappable Redundant Power Supplies

The DS-P7001-08 includes dual redundant hot-swapping AC+DC power supplies, supporting AC input (100–240V, 50/60Hz) and DC input, with a maximum power consumption of approximately 70W. Unlike the built-in (non-swappable) PSUs on the -04, the -08’s power modules can be replaced under load — no downtime to swap a failing PSU in a live deployment. This is the carrier-class reliability feature that justifies the -08 in ISP and operator environments where planned maintenance windows are impractical.

Provisioning and Management

ONU management uses standard OMCI per ITU-T G.984.4/G.988, with ONU auto-authentication for zero-touch onboarding, and supports AES 128-bit encryption for uplink and downlink data transmission. Centralised management is available via the DeltaStream PON Management System (DPMS), SNMP, CLI, and web UI — the same management stack as the -01 and -04, with DPMS supporting batch configuration, firmware upgrades, reboots, multi-site management, and real-time network monitoring across the full fleet.

L2/L2+ Feature Set

Software features include complete L2 functions, Static Routing, IGMP Snooping/MLD Snooping, DHCP Server and Relay, ACL, 802.1X authentication, ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, rogue ONU detection and isolation, AES 128-bit uplink and downlink data encryption, multi-service traffic identification and rate limiting, QoS, and Voice VLAN.

The Ubiquiti UISP Fiber OLT (UF-OLT) is an eight-port GPON Optical Line Terminal supporting up to 1,024 ONUs (128 per port) at distances up to 20 km, with dual hot-swap AC PSUs, dual 10G SFP+ uplinks, and deep integration with the UISP platform. It is the eight-port counterpart to the UF-OLT-4 and the GPON-native OLT in the Ubiquiti UISP fibre ecosystem — the device that drives WaveFiber ONU, UF-WiFi6, and other Ubiquiti GPON CPE deployments.

Eight GPON Ports, 1,024 Clients

The UF-OLT is an eight-port GPON optical line terminal designed to manage fibre internet service for up to 1,024 clients at 128 per port. Each GPON OLT SFP port operates at 2488.32 Mbit/s downstream and 1244.16 Mbit/s upstream, at TX 1490 nm / RX 1310 nm using scrambled NRZ line coding, at a maximum physical reach of 20 km. VLAN support spans 4,062 VLANs with 8 priority queues per user port and traffic classification for advanced QoS.

GPON SFP modules sold separately. The eight PON ports are SFP slots. Ubiquiti’s own GPON OLT SFP modules (UF-GP-B+) are the recommended match — sold separately. Third-party Class B+ SFPs may work but are not officially supported.

Dual 10G SFP+ Uplinks

Two 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports provide backbone connectivity, with LED indicators distinguishing 10G (white) from 1G (green) link speed at a glance. With 1,024 potential GPON subscribers behind the OLT, the dual 10G uplinks allow for link aggregation or active/standby redundancy to the aggregation layer.

Hot-Swap Redundant Power Supplies

Power is provided by two hot-swappable AC/DC PSUs in a universal 100–240V input configuration, with a maximum power consumption of 40W (excluding SFP modules). One AC PSU is included; the second bay accepts an additional PSU for full redundancy — ordered separately. Both bays also support DC/DC power modules (RPS-DC-100W) for DC-powered environments such as telco cabinets.

Management — UISP Platform, Bluetooth, Out-of-Band

Management interfaces include one Ethernet out-of-band port, one Ethernet in-band port, one RJ45 serial console port, and Bluetooth. Bluetooth enables touchless provisioning and initial setup without needing physical console or network access — a practical feature for field technicians commissioning remote OLT deployments. Full management runs through the UISP platform and UISP mobile app, covering ONU registration, monitoring, firmware updates, and service provisioning.

Ubiquiti GPON CPE Compatibility

The UF-OLT is the native OLT for the Ubiquiti GPON CPE lineup. Compatible CPE includes the WaveFiber ONU (Wave-Fiber-ONU), UF-WiFi6, UF-WIFI, UF-LOCO, and UF-Nano. The UISP-FIBER-XG, UISP-FIBER-XGS, and XGS-PON CPE require the UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS instead.

GPON only. The UF-OLT does not support XGS-PON or XG-PON. For deployments requiring 10G PON or a migration path to XGS-PON, the UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS is the appropriate choice.

Form Factor and Build

The enclosure is SGCC steel in a 1U rack form factor, measuring 442.4 × 285.6 × 43.7 mm and weighing 4.4 kg without mounting brackets. Operating temperature is −10°C to 45°C. The device is NDAA compliant and certified CE, FCC, and IC.

The Ubiquiti UISP Fiber OLT XGS (UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS) is an eight-port multi-mode optical line terminal supporting XGS-PON, XG-PON, and GPON simultaneously — the top-tier OLT in the Ubiquiti UISP fibre lineup. It delivers 10 Gbps bidirectional capacity per XGS-PON port to over 2,048 subscribers across its eight PON ports, with four 25G SFP28 uplink ports, hot-swap redundant AC/DC power supplies, and full UISP platform management. The natural upgrade path from the UF-OLT and UF-OLT-4, and the required OLT for the UISP-FIBER-XGS and UISP-FIBER-XG CPE.

Multi-Mode PON — GPON, XG-PON, and XGS-PON Simultaneously

The defining capability of the OLT XGS over the UF-OLT is its multi-standard PON support. The UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS provides eight XGS/XG/GPON ports, meaning each port can independently operate as a GPON, XG-PON, or XGS-PON OLT port — and critically, the UACC-UF-WDM-XGS Coexistence WDM Filter allows GPON and XGS/XG-PON services to run simultaneously on the same physical fibre plant. This enables a live GPON network to be migrated subscriber-by-subscriber to XGS-PON without replacing fibre, splitters, or serving the remaining GPON subscribers.

The OLT delivers XGS-PON 10 Gbps bidirectional capacity and supports a client capacity of 2,048 across its eight ports.

Four 25G SFP28 Uplink Ports

Four 1/10/25G SFP28 uplink ports provide backbone connectivity. With 2,048 potential subscribers and XGS-PON delivering up to 10 Gbps per port, the aggregate downstream capacity across eight active ports can reach 80 Gbps — the SFP28 ports provide the uplink headroom to match. Note that the four SFP28 ports do not support mixed speed at 25 Gbps mode: once one port is configured at 25 Gbps, the others are also limited to 25 Gbps. Mixed speed is only supported when all ports are at 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps.

Management — UISP Platform, Bluetooth, Out-of-Band

Management interfaces include Ethernet out-of-band, Ethernet in-band, an RJ45 serial console port, and Bluetooth — matching the UF-OLT’s management stack. Bluetooth enables touchless field provisioning without physical console access. Full fleet management, ONU registration, firmware updates, and monitoring run through the UISP platform.

Hot-Swap Redundant Power Supplies

The OLT is powered by two hot-swappable AC/DC PSUs compatible with a universal 100–240V AC input, with a maximum power consumption of 70W. Both PSU bays support hot-swap replacement under load. A 100W AC/DC power module is available separately for the second bay.

CPE Compatibility — Full Ubiquiti UISP Fibre Lineup

The UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS is compatible with the full Ubiquiti UISP fibre CPE range across all PON standards: UISP-FIBER-XGS (XGS-PON), UISP-FIBER-XG (XG-PON), WaveFiber ONU (GPON), UF-WiFi6 (GPON), UF-WIFI (GPON), UF-LOCO (GPON), and UF-Nano (GPON). Combined with the UACC-UF-WDM-XGS WDM Filter, it enables all of these to coexist on the same fibre distribution infrastructure.

XGS-PON and XG-PON CPE are only compatible with this OLT. The UISP-FIBER-XGS and UISP-FIBER-XG will not register on the UF-OLT or UF-OLT-4. If your deployment uses or plans to use these higher-speed CPE, the OLT XGS is the required OLT.
