The Gigabyte BRIX GB-BRi7H-10710 is the tall-chassis variant of Gigabyte’s ultra-compact BRIX platform, distinguishing itself from the slim version by adding a 2.5″ SATA drive bay alongside the M.2 slot for dual internal storage — a meaningful practical advantage for builds combining a fast NVMe SSD with a high-capacity HDD or SATA SSD. The Intel Core i7-10710U brings six Comet Lake cores with Hyper-Threading (12 threads total) to a 15W TDP platform, delivering notably more multi-threaded performance than quad-core alternatives at the same power envelope — a useful advantage for running multiple applications simultaneously, light virtualisation, or video conferencing with background tasks.

The six-port USB stack is a standout for a Mini PC at this size: one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (10 Gbps) and five USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps) ports provide the kind of peripheral connectivity more commonly associated with full-tower systems. A serial port header covers legacy industrial and point-of-sale peripherals, optical S/PDIF handles audio routing to AV receivers, and the consumer IR sensor enables remote control input for HTPC and media deployments. Dual VESA mount plates (75×75mm and 100×100mm) are included for monitor-back or wall installation.

The Intel Core i7-10710U (10th Gen Comet Lake) is not on Microsoft’s Windows 11 supported CPU list. This system is recommended for use with Windows 10 (reached end of support October 2025) or a Linux distribution. Windows 11 cannot be officially installed on this platform.

Wireless is Wireless-AC (Wi-Fi 5, Intel AC 3168, 433 Mbps, dual-band, 2.4/5 GHz only) — not Wi-Fi 6 or 6E. For Wi-Fi 6 capability a USB or PCIe Wi-Fi adapter is required.

LAN is Gigabit Ethernet only — no 2.5 GbE.

Display outputs are 2× HDMI only — no DisplayPort and no USB-C video output. Monitors requiring DisplayPort input will need a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter or a separate display.
