Unlike most all-in-one PCs that use mobile or embedded processors, the PCBuilder Fusion 24″ is assembled locally in South Africa around a genuine desktop-class Intel Core i5-14400 on an LGA1700 socketed Intel H610 motherboard. The i5-14400 is a 6-core processor running at 2.5GHz base with Turbo Boost up to 4.7GHz — the same CPU you’d find in a mid-range tower build, not a stripped-down laptop chip. Combined with 16GB of Crucial DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM RAM and a 1TB Crucial Gen4 NVMe SSD, this unit delivers responsive, no-compromise performance for everyday business and productivity workloads.

Display

The 24-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS panel is mounted on an adjustable stand with tilt and swivel, letting you dial in the viewing angle for your specific workspace. It’s a comfortable size for extended use, with enough screen real estate for multitasking across multiple applications without feeling cramped.

Connectivity

The Fusion 24″ covers the essentials for business connectivity: Gigabit LAN and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz) for wired or wireless networking, plus a built-in power supply that keeps the setup self-contained. While the port selection is more modest than the ASUS ExpertCenter range, it handles the fundamentals for a standard office workstation deployment.

Windows 11 Pro & Deployment

This PRO variant ships with Windows 11 Professional 64-bit, covering domain join, BitLocker, Remote Desktop, and Group Policy for business environments. It includes the PCBuilder ALPHA Silent Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo, so it’s ready to use out of the box.

Note: The LGA1700 socket means the CPU is technically replaceable, but realistically the H610 chipset limits overclocking and some advanced features. RAM is DDR4, not DDR5 — this is a trade-off in favour of cost and the desktop platform rather than a shortcoming. As a locally assembled unit, warranty and support are handled through PCBuilder’s South African distribution channel rather than a global OEM. Also note that this unit does not include a built-in webcam — an external camera will be needed for video conferencing.

This is meaningfully more processing power than either the Core 5 210H (12SC008YSA) or the 13th Gen i7-13620H (12SD0013SA) variants in this range — more cores, higher peak clocks, and the newer Series 2 architecture. Backed by 16GB DDR5-5200MHz RAM (2 SO-DIMM slots, dual-channel capable, upgradeable to 32GB) and a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, this is a capable workstation for demanding multitasking, data-heavy office applications, and high-intensity video conferencing.

23.8″ FHD Touchscreen Display

Unlike the other 24″ Neo 50a Gen 5 variants, this model ships with a 10-point multi-touch FHD (1920×1080) IPS anti-glare panel — opening up touch-first workflows, interactive presentations, and accessibility use cases. It runs at 100Hz with 250 nits brightness, 99% sRGB, and the full complement of TÜV Rheinland certifications: Flicker Free, Low Blue Light, and Ultra Low Noise. The borderless design and 89° wide-view angles keep the workspace looking clean.

Audio, Camera & Conferencing

The Harman-certified 3W×2 stereo speakers deliver richer, clearer audio than typical AiO built-ins — a genuine advantage for open-plan offices and frequent video calls. The dual-microphone array keeps voice pickup clean. The 5MP IR camera supports Windows Hello face authentication and includes a physical camera shutter latch for mechanical privacy when not in use. Lenovo Smart Meeting AI software enhances conferencing with virtual background, auto-framing, and digital avatar capabilities.

Connectivity & Ports

RAM across two SO-DIMM slots means upgrading to 32GB replaces one module rather than requiring a full SO-DIMM swap. The USB-C port is data transfer only — no power delivery or DisplayPort output. The PCBuilder AMD Upgrade Kit combines three compatible AM4 components into a single bundle, giving builders a straightforward path to a capable desktop without individually sourcing and cross-checking parts: the AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor, 16 GB of Crucial DDR4 memory, and an ASUS Prime A520M motherboard. The Ryzen 5 5500’s Zen 3 architecture delivers meaningful generational improvements over Zen+ and Zen 2 platforms in both IPC (instructions per clock) and single-threaded performance, making this kit a practical upgrade starting point for everyday productivity, web browsing, office applications, and light gaming when paired with a discrete GPU.

This kit covers the three core platform components — processor, memory, and motherboard. To complete the build, add a case, power supply, storage (M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD), and a discrete GPU. A 550W PSU provides comfortable headroom for a mid-range GPU alongside this platform.

AMD Ryzen 5 5500

The Ryzen 5 5500 (Zen 3 / Cezanne, 7nm TSMC) is a six-core, twelve-thread AM4 processor with a 3.6 GHz base clock and 4.2 GHz boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, and a 65W TDP. It ships with AMD’s Wraith Stealth cooler, keeping installation simple without additional cooler spend at this platform tier. While the Ryzen 5 5500 uses PCIe 3.0 rather than the PCIe 4.0 found on Ryzen 5000 desktop (Vermeer) chips, this has no meaningful real-world impact on current discrete GPU performance — PCIe 3.0 x16 provides ample bandwidth for all current mid-range graphics cards.

The Ryzen 5 5500 has no integrated graphics — a discrete GPU is required to obtain any display output. This kit does not include a GPU. If integrated graphics are needed, consider the PCB_UPK_21 kit (Ryzen 5 3400G) instead.

The Ryzen 5 5500 is an AM4 processor and is not compatible with AM5 motherboards. This kit is a standalone AM4 platform and cannot be combined with AM5 components.

The Ryzen 5 5500 is unlocked for overclocking, but the A520M chipset does not support CPU frequency overclocking. Memory overclocking via XMP profiles is supported on the A520 platform. If CPU OC headroom is a priority, a B550 or X570 board is required.

Memory and Motherboard

The 16 GB Crucial DDR4 module provides comfortable memory capacity for gaming, multitasking, and general productivity at this platform tier. The ASUS Prime A520M provides a reliable, no-frills AM4 foundation with PCIe 3.0, M.2 NVMe storage support, SATA ports, USB 3.2 Gen1, HDMI and D-Sub display outputs, and ASUS’s pre-mounted I/O shield for straightforward installation. The A520 chipset is well-suited to this build tier — stable, proven, and compatible with the full Ryzen 5000 lineup including the Ryzen 5 5500.

This kit uses DDR4 memory — DDR5 is not supported on the AM4 platform. Do not use DDR5 modules with this kit.
