This is operator/infrastructure equipment, not a CPE device. An OLT (Optical Line Terminal) sits at the network side of a GPON deployment — it’s the device that connects to your internet uplink and drives the fibre plant out to subscriber ONTs/ONUs at the premises. If you’re running the XC220-G3, XC220-G3v, XX230V or any other GPON CPE at the customer end, the DS-P7001-01 is the OLT that drives them.

The DS-P7001-01 is specifically sized for small-scale deployments: a single building, a business campus, an MDU, a small WISP, or an enterprise private fibre network — anywhere you need a proper managed OLT for up to 128 subscribers without deploying a full multi-port rack OLT.

GPON Port — 128 ONTs, Class C++

The single PON port (SFP slot, SC/UPC interface) runs at 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream at TX 1490 nm / RX 1310 nm on 9/125 µm single-mode fibre, with a 1:128 split ratio and a maximum logical transmission distance of 60 km. The Class C++ optical budget on the SFP module allows for deeper splits and longer reach than the standard Class B+ used in most GPON CPE.

GPON SFP module sold separately. The PON port is an SFP slot — the OLT SFP module must be sourced separately. Confirm the SFP specification (Class B+, C+, or C++) matches your planned split ratio and reach before purchasing.

Uplink Ports

Uplink interfaces are 1× 10 Gbps SFP+ port and 1× 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps RJ45 port, plus a dedicated RJ45 MGMT port and RJ45 console port for out-of-band management. The dual uplink options — a 10G SFP+ for fibre backbone connectivity and a 2.5 GbE copper port as a secondary or alternative uplink — provide deployment flexibility in both data-centre and on-premises environments.

Power — DC or PoE

Power can be supplied via DC adapter (12V/2.5A) or 802.3at PoE (42.5–57V/0.6A), with a maximum power consumption of 17W. The PoE power option is particularly useful for deployments where the OLT is mounted remotely — on a comms board, in a cabinet without a power strip, or in a space served by an existing PoE switch — without needing a separate DC supply run.

Provisioning and Management

ONU authentication supports auto-authentication for zero-touch ONT onboarding. OMCI management is supported per ITU-T G.984.4/G.988 standards. Centralised management is available via the DeltaStream PON Management System (DPMS), SNMP, CLI, and web UI. Redundant Dual Power Supplies — a Key Step Up from the -01

The most significant operational difference between the DS-P7001-04 and the single-port DS-P7001-01 is power redundancy. The DS-P7001-04 includes dual built-in AC and DC power supplies — AC input 100–240V 50/60Hz; DC input −38.4V to −72V — with a maximum power consumption of 58W. Where the -01 relies on a single DC adapter or PoE input, the -04’s dual hot-swappable AC+DC PSUs provide carrier-class resilience: an AC mains failure fails over to the DC input without service interruption. This makes the -04 appropriate for deployments where uptime requirements are stricter.

Uplink and Management Ports

Interface complement is: 4× 2.5G PON SFP slots, 1× 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink, 1× 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 uplink, 1× RJ45 MGMT port (out-of-band), 1× RJ45 Console port, and 1× Alarm port (reserved). Dual 10G SFP+ Uplinks — Double the -04

The Predator is an EPON OLT — the headend device that drives a passive optical fibre network and manages subscriber ONUs. It is one of the latest OLT devices operating in EPON technology for optical fibre access networks, characterised by small dimensions, convenient and easy implementation, flexible functions and compatibility with most client units, sitting in a 1U 19″ rack chassis. It’s the EPON counterpart to the TP-Link DeltaStream GPON OLTs, and is well-suited to operators who have deployed — or plan to deploy — EPON infrastructure, including the Extralink Jowisz (EX-ONU-J) ONU listed elsewhere in this store.

Eight PON Ports, 512 ONUs

The Predator provides 8 EPON PON ports, supporting up to 512 ONUs at a 1:64 split ratio — 64 ONUs per PON port. Each PON port operates on the IEEE 802.3ah EPON standard with symmetric 1.25 Gbps upstream and downstream. Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) is supported, allowing the OLT to efficiently distribute available upstream bandwidth across active ONUs in real time.

Uplinks — 8 GE Copper + 8 SFP Combo

Uplink interfaces comprise 8 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports and 8 SFP ports operating in combo mode — each copper port is paired with an SFP slot and they share the same logical interface, so you use one or the other per combo pair. This gives substantial uplink flexibility: you can run copper Ethernet to an aggregation switch in the same rack, or fibre SFP for longer-reach or higher-density uplinks.

Broad ONU Compatibility

Unlike the Ubiquiti UISP fibre CPE range which is locked to Ubiquiti OLTs, the Predator follows the IEEE 802.3ah standard with standard OAM and CTC extensions, giving it compatibility with most client units.
