Multi-Mode PON — GPON, XG-PON, and XGS-PON Simultaneously

The defining capability of the OLT XGS over the UF-OLT is its multi-standard PON support. The UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS provides eight XGS/XG/GPON ports, meaning each port can independently operate as a GPON, XG-PON, or XGS-PON OLT port — and critically, the UACC-UF-WDM-XGS Coexistence WDM Filter allows GPON and XGS/XG-PON services to run simultaneously on the same physical fibre plant. This enables a live GPON network to be migrated subscriber-by-subscriber to XGS-PON without replacing fibre, splitters, or serving the remaining GPON subscribers.

The OLT delivers XGS-PON 10 Gbps bidirectional capacity and supports a client capacity of 2,048 across its eight ports.

Four 25G SFP28 Uplink Ports

Four 1/10/25G SFP28 uplink ports provide backbone connectivity. With 2,048 potential subscribers and XGS-PON delivering up to 10 Gbps per port, the aggregate downstream capacity across eight active ports can reach 80 Gbps — the SFP28 ports provide the uplink headroom to match. Note that the four SFP28 ports do not support mixed speed at 25 Gbps mode: once one port is configured at 25 Gbps, the others are also limited to 25 Gbps. Mixed speed is only supported when all ports are at 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps.

Management — UISP Platform, Bluetooth, Out-of-Band

Management interfaces include Ethernet out-of-band, Ethernet in-band, an RJ45 serial console port, and Bluetooth — matching the UF-OLT’s management stack. Bluetooth enables touchless field provisioning without physical console access. Full fleet management, ONU registration, firmware updates, and monitoring run through the UISP platform.

Hot-Swap Redundant Power Supplies

The OLT is powered by two hot-swappable AC/DC PSUs compatible with a universal 100–240V AC input, with a maximum power consumption of 70W. Both PSU bays support hot-swap replacement under load. A 100W AC/DC power module is available separately for the second bay.

CPE Compatibility — Full Ubiquiti UISP Fibre Lineup

The UISP-FIBER-OLT-XGS is compatible with the full Ubiquiti UISP fibre CPE range across all PON standards: UISP-FIBER-XGS (XGS-PON), UISP-FIBER-XG (XG-PON), WaveFiber ONU (GPON), UF-WiFi6 (GPON), UF-WIFI (GPON), UF-LOCO (GPON), and UF-Nano (GPON). Combined with the UACC-UF-WDM-XGS WDM Filter, it enables all of these to coexist on the same fibre distribution infrastructure.

⚠️ XGS-PON and XG-PON CPE are only compatible with this OLT. The UISP-FIBER-XGS and UISP-FIBER-XG will not register on the UF-OLT or UF-OLT-4. If your deployment uses or plans to use these higher-speed CPE, the OLT XGS is the required OLT.
