ADATA XPG Spectrix D50 16GB (DDR4-3200, CL16, RGB) Desktop RAM
R5,949.00 inc. VAT
The ADATA XPG Spectrix D50 16GB DDR4-3200 delivers the D50’s distinctive triangular RGB light bar and clean geometric design at full 16GB single-stick capacity. The triangular RGB panel fits perfectly with the module’s overall design, with four RGB modes — Static, Breathing, Comet, and Music — controllable via the XPG RGB Sync app or compatible motherboard software. Running at DDR4-3200 CL16-20-20 at 1.35V via Intel XMP 2.0, with a 1.95mm aluminium heat spreader and verified Intel and AMD platform compatibility, it’s the focused, elegant RGB option for 16GB single-stick gaming builds — more restrained than the D60G, more distinctive than a bare heatspreadless module.

Description
Design & RGB Lighting
The D50 features a clean and elegant exterior with simple geometric lines and a triangular RGB panel that fits in perfectly with the module’s overall design. The 16GB variant carries the D50’s visual identity forward unchanged from the 8GB — the same focused triangular diffuser, the same angular tungsten grey heat spreader, the same intentionally restrained approach to RGB that produces a softer, more directional glow rather than the full-panel illumination of the D60G.
Using the XPG RGB Sync app or compatible motherboard RGB software, users can switch between four RGB modes — Static, Breathing, Comet, and Music. Motherboard RGB ecosystem compatibility covers ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and ASRock Polychrome Sync.
Heat Spreader
At 1.95mm thick, the metal heat spreader offers excellent durability and projects an air of strength and high performance. The heat sink is composed of thick aluminium with deep grooves on each side, adding to its style and increasing surface area for better cooling. The tungsten grey colourway is build-neutral and works equally well in dark or light-themed systems.
Performance & XMP 2.0
The D50 runs at a tested speed of 3200MHz with CL16-20-20 timings at 1.35V via Intel XMP 2.0. Without XMP enabled the module defaults to JEDEC base speed — typically DDR4-2666. Intel XMP 2.0 makes overclocking straightforward and enhances system stability, allowing users to apply the rated frequency without manually adjusting individual BIOS parameters.
💡 XMP must be enabled for rated speed: Without activating XMP 2.0 in BIOS (or DOCP/EXPO on AMD), this module defaults to JEDEC speed — typically DDR4-2666 or lower. Enable XMP to unlock DDR4-3200 at CL16-20-20. This is normal behaviour, not a defect.
Quality & Compatibility
ADATA memory has been tested and verified to work with the latest AMD platforms for hassle-free compatibility and excellent overclocking performance, with full Intel platform support across the latest chipsets. Compatible across AM4 (Ryzen), LGA1200, and LGA1700 (where DDR4 is supported). As a single 16GB stick it operates in single-channel mode by default; pairing with a second matching module enables 32GB dual-channel and doubles the RGB presence.
D50 vs D60G at 16GB
Both the D50 and D60G deliver CL16-20-20 XMP performance at 16GB DDR4-3200. The D60G’s dual full-strip RGB covers over 60% of the module’s surface area for maximum visual impact; the D50’s triangular panel is more focused and subtler. The D60G stands 45mm tall; the D50 sits slightly lower due to its thinner diffuser design. For builds where the RGB should complement rather than dominate, the D50 is the more considered choice.
⚠️ Check CPU cooler clearance: The D50’s 1.95mm aluminium heat spreader adds height. Verify your CPU cooler’s RAM clearance before purchasing, particularly with large tower air coolers.
⚠️ Single stick = single channel: For dual-channel bandwidth and a symmetrical RGB pairing, add a second AX4U3200716G16A-ST50 in your motherboard’s recommended paired DIMM slots. Refer to your board’s manual for the correct slot configuration.
