TP-Link XC220 Wireless GPON HGU + VoIP

R785.00 inc. VAT

The TP-Link XC220-G3v is an AC1200 dual-band wireless VoIP XPON router — essentially the XC220-G3 stepped up with four Gigabit LAN ports and an RJ11 FXS port for analogue phone service over VoIP. It supports both GPON and EPON on a single SC/APC port, delivering up to 2.488 Gbps downstream via GPON, and is suited to FTTH deployments where voice, data, and Wi-Fi need to come from one device.

Description

XPON Dual-Mode — GPON and EPON

Like its sibling the XC220-G3, this unit carries a dual-mode PON port supporting both GPON (ITU G.984, Class B+) and EPON (1000BASE-PX20+) on a single SC/APC connector. GPON delivers 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream; EPON runs at a symmetric 1.25 Gbps in both directions, with a maximum reach of 20 km.

⚠️ Provisioning required: This device must be activated and provisioned by your ISP or OLT operator. Confirm your provider’s PON standard (GPON or EPON) and their willingness to support third-party ONTs before purchasing.

VoIP — Analogue Phone over Fibre

The RJ11 FXS port lets users connect a standard analogue telephone and make or receive calls over the internet via SIP, with support for up to 8 SIP accounts and features including call hold, call forward, do not disturb, call restriction, speed dial, caller ID, and 3-party conferencing. This is the key differentiator over the base XC220-G3, making it a practical choice for businesses or homes that still rely on a desk phone.

Four Gigabit LAN Ports

Where the base model provides two LAN ports, the G3v doubles this to four 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit RJ45 ports — more useful in a small office or home with multiple wired devices like a NAS, smart TV, desktop, and IP phone switch all needing direct connections.

AC1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi

Wireless runs on 802.11ac/n/a at 5 GHz (up to 867 Mbps) and 802.11b/g/n at 2.4 GHz (up to 300 Mbps), with WPA/WPA2/WPA3-PSK security, MU-MIMO, Beamforming, and two external dual-band antennas. EasyMesh compatibility allows the unit to act as a node in a standard mesh Wi-Fi network alongside other compatible devices.

Routing, Security, and IPTV

Software features include NAT firewall, SPI-style DoS/SYN Flood/Ping of Death protection, MAC/IP/URL filtering, IP-MAC binding, Access Control, IGMP v1/v2/v3 for IPTV, DHCP server/client with address reservation and relay, DDNS (DynDNS, NO-IP), Static Routing, VPN passthrough (PPTP, L2TP), Virtual Server, Port Triggering, DMZ, and UPnP.

Remote Management

Management options include web UI, CLI, TR-069 over SSL, OMCI, and remote management — making it straightforward for ISPs to provision and monitor remotely, while end users can manage locally via browser or the Aginet app.
