TP-Link XC220 Wireless GPON ONU
R705.00 inc. VAT
The TP-Link XC220-G3 is an AC1200 dual-band wireless XPON router that combines a GPON/EPON dual-mode PON port with Wi-Fi and Gigabit wired connectivity in a single compact unit. It supports downstream speeds up to 2.488 Gbps via GPON and up to 1.2 Gbps of combined wireless throughput across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, making it a practical all-in-one CPE for fibre-to-the-home and small office deployments on both GPON and EPON networks.

Description
XPON Dual-Mode — GPON and EPON in One Device
The XC220-G3 supports both GPON (ITU G.984, Class B+) and EPON (1000BASE-PX20+), with GPON delivering 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream, and EPON running at a symmetric 1.25 Gbps in both directions. The single SC/APC PON port handles either standard automatically, which makes this unit genuinely flexible across different ISP fibre plant types — useful in South Africa where both GPON and EPON deployments exist.
⚠️ Check your fibre standard first: While this device supports both GPON and EPON, it must be provisioned by your ISP or OLT operator. Self-provisioning is not always possible on managed fibre networks — confirm compatibility with your provider before purchasing.
AC1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi
Wireless runs on 802.11ac/n/a at 5 GHz (up to 867 Mbps) and 802.11b/g/n at 2.4 GHz (up to 300 Mbps), with WPA/WPA2/WPA3-PSK security and up to 3 SSIDs per band. MU-MIMO technology allows simultaneous streaming to multiple devices, and Beamforming steers signal strength toward connected clients for better range and stability.
Wired Ports and Hardware
Two 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit LAN ports provide wired connectivity, powered by a 900 MHz dual-core CPU. The compact chassis measures 157 × 112 × 37 mm with two external antennas, and includes a built-in fibre tray for storing excess cable — a practical detail for clean wall or shelf installations.
IPTV, Routing, and Security
Software features include IGMP v2/v3 Snooping and Proxy for IPTV, SPI Firewall, DDoS protection, IP-MAC binding, Access Control, PPPoE/Dynamic/Static IP WAN modes, DHCP server/client, Virtual Server, Port Triggering, DMZ, UPnP, and parental controls via Wi-Fi scheduling.
Remote Management
Service providers can remotely configure and manage the device via TR-069 (ACS) or the OMCI protocol, with compatibility for TR-181, TR-111, and TR-143. End users can manage locally via web UI or the Aginet mobile app. EasyMesh compatibility allows it to participate in a standard mesh Wi-Fi network with other compatible devices.
