The ExpertCenter E3 is built around Intel’s 12th Gen Core i5-1235U — a 10-core (2P+8E) Alder Lake processor with a base clock of 1.3GHz and Turbo Boost up to 4.4GHz. As a U-series chip, it draws significantly less power than the H-series processors in the P440 range, making the E3 a quieter, cooler-running unit well-suited to small offices and shared workspaces. The 8GB DDR4 SO-DIMM and 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD deliver smooth performance for office productivity, web applications, and video conferencing. The single occupied SO-DIMM slot supports upgrades up to 64GB.

Display & Audio

The 21.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) anti-glare IPS panel offers 100% sRGB coverage at 250 nits with a 86% screen-to-body ratio and 178° wide-view technology — comfortable for all-day use in most office lighting conditions. Audio is handled by ASUS SonicMaster with Dolby Atmos support and two-way AI-powered noise cancellation, giving this modest-sized unit a noticeably capable conferencing and media audio experience for its class.

Camera & Privacy

The integrated 720p HD webcam includes a physical privacy shutter — a straightforward, reliable way to ensure the camera is blocked when not in use. For video conferencing at typical call resolutions this is adequate, though users requiring sharper 1080p video output should consider the P440 range instead.

Connectivity & Ports

The rear I/O provides 3× USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1× USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, 1× USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI out 1.4, and Gigabit Ethernet. ⚠️ Note: The i5-1235U is a U-series mobile processor — energy-efficient and cool-running, but less raw throughput than the H-series chips in the P440 range. This is the right trade-off for light-to-medium office workloads, but not the unit for sustained heavy multitasking. Also note that at single-channel 8GB DDR4, the integrated graphics run as Intel UHD rather than the faster Iris Xe — adding a matched 8GB SO-DIMM in the free slot would unlock dual-channel and enable Iris Xe performance. The display does not include HDMI-in on this model.
