Description
Series 2 AI Performance in 36mm
The Core Ultra 5 235T is an Intel Series 2 Arrow Lake T-series processor with 14 cores (6 performance + 8 efficiency), a boost frequency of 5.0 GHz, and a 24MB cache — paired with a dedicated Intel AI Boost NPU delivering 13 TOPS of on-device AI processing. The T-series 35W TDP ceiling allows Dell to run it in the 36mm Micro chassis off a compact 90W external adapter, maintaining near-silent operation while handling the full range of office productivity, video conferencing, and AI-accelerated workloads. The 8GB DDR5-5600 ships in one of two SO-DIMM slots, with the second free and a generous 64GB maximum.
Connectivity & Display
Front I/O provides 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10Gbps), 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and a global headset jack. The rear adds 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (Smart Power On), 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2x USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, and Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) — supporting dual 4K displays from the onboard video outputs. An optional rear module port can be populated with VGA, serial, additional USB 3.2 Gen 2, or USB-C with DP Alt Mode. Intel Wi-Fi 6E (AX211, 802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.3 are built in. VESA 75mm and 100mm mount support is included.
Storage & Build
The 512GB M.2 2230 PCIe NVMe SSD occupies the first of two M.2 slots, with a second M.2 2230/2280 slot available for a secondary storage drive. At 183 × 36 × 178mm and approximately 1.4 kg, this machine mounts invisibly behind a compatible monitor or sits flat under one — equally at home on a reception desk, in a boardroom, or on a healthcare workstation. MIL-STD-810H testing, TPM 2.0, Kensington lock, Smart USB Protection, and chassis intrusion detection cover the security and durability bases.
⚠️ This configuration ships with 8GB DDR5 — adequate for typical business use, but consider upgrading to 16GB at purchase if the machine will run multiple demanding applications simultaneously.
💡 The Core Ultra 5 235T delivers the same NPU (13 TOPS) and AI feature support as the Ultra 7 265T variant, making both models fully capable for AI-accelerated productivity apps — the main practical difference is CPU core count (14 vs 20) and peak multi-threaded throughput under sustained load.
