Description
AI Performance in 36mm
The Core Ultra 7 265T is the low-power T-series variant of Intel’s Series 2 Arrow Lake architecture — same 20 cores (8 performance + 12 efficiency), same 5.3 GHz boost capability, and the same Intel AI Boost NPU delivering 13 TOPS of dedicated on-device AI acceleration. The critical difference is its 28W TDP ceiling (versus 65W for the standard 265), which allows Dell to run it in the 36mm-wide Micro chassis off a 90W external adapter while maintaining near-silent operation. The 16GB DDR5-5600 ships in one of two SO-DIMM slots, with a second slot free and a maximum of 64GB supported.
Connectivity & Display
Front I/O provides 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10Gbps), 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and a global headset jack. The rear adds 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (Smart Power On), 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2x USB 2.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, and Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) — supporting dual 4K displays from the onboard video outputs. An optional rear module port can be populated with VGA, serial, additional USB 3.2 Gen 2, or USB-C with DP Alt Mode. Intel Wi-Fi 6E (AX211, 802.11ax) and Bluetooth are built in.
Storage & Expandability
A single M.2 2230/2280 slot is populated with the 512GB NVMe SSD, with a second M.2 slot available in a dual-SSD configuration for additional storage. The machine mounts directly behind a VESA-compatible monitor (75mm or 100mm), sits horizontally under a monitor, or stands vertically on a desk — making it nearly invisible in constrained workspaces.
Security & Durability
All Dell Pro desktops are tested to MIL-STD-810H military durability standards. Security includes TPM 2.0, Kensington lock slot, Smart USB Protection, and chassis intrusion detection. The platform holds EPEAT Silver and ENERGY STAR certifications.
💡 The T-series processor is optimised for sustained low-power operation — this machine runs significantly cooler and quieter than a standard desktop at equivalent performance levels, making it ideal for noise-sensitive environments like medical reception areas, open-plan offices, and boardrooms.
⚠️ The 90W power adapter limits peak sustained CPU performance compared to the standard Core Ultra 7 265 in the QCT1250 tower — workloads that require continuous maximum CPU throughput (video encoding, compilation, large data processing) will perform better on the full-TDP tower configuration.
