This is a genuine desktop chip, not a mobile variant, delivering consistent sustained performance suited to office productivity, line-of-business applications, and multi-application workloads. The 8GB DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM has one slot free, supporting upgrades up to 32GB, and the 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD provides fast boot and application load times. Budget for a RAM upgrade (free slot available, up to 32GB) and consider whether 256GB SSD is sufficient before deployment. This model uses Wi-Fi 5, not Wi-Fi 6 or 6E. There is no Thunderbolt 4 on this platform. The serial port is a genuine advantage for legacy industrial or POS deployments. This is the touchscreen variant — if non-touch is preferred, look for the E5402WHA models instead.
