The 8 Hyper-Threaded P-cores handle demanding single-threaded gaming and latency-sensitive tasks, while Intel Thread Director manages dynamic workload allocation between the two core types in real time. The cache configuration scales with the added cores: 33MB of L3 and 28MB of L2, up from the 13700K’s figures.

Boost Technologies and Overclocking

The i7-14700K carries Turbo Boost 2.0 and Turbo Boost Max 3.0, with the two fastest P-cores targeting up to 5.6 GHz and Adaptive Boost providing opportunistic all-core frequency uplift. The unlocked multiplier makes overclocking straightforward with Z790 or Z690 chipset motherboards. Both DDR4 and DDR5 memory are supported.
