R11,175.00 inc. VAT
The Intel Core i9-12900KF is a 16-core, 24-thread 12th-generation desktop processor built on Intel’s Alder Lake architecture, delivering the full unlocked flagship performance of the 12900K without integrated graphics. With 8 Performance-cores boosting up to 5.2 GHz and 8 Efficient-cores reaching 3.9 GHz, backed by 30MB of L3 Smart Cache and a 125W base power, it’s the natural choice for enthusiast builders pairing a discrete GPU with Alder Lake’s original hybrid core flagship. DDR4 and DDR5 are both supported on the LGA 1700 platform. No cooler is included.

Description
Alder Lake’s Flagship Without the iGPU
The i9-12900KF shares the complete specification of the i9-12900K — 8 Golden Cove P-cores, 8 Gracemont E-cores, 30MB Smart Cache, 125W base power, and 241W maximum turbo power — with the sole difference being the absence of integrated graphics. For any build with a discrete GPU already planned, the KF delivers identical performance at a modest price advantage. Intel Thread Director is embedded in the silicon, dynamically routing workloads between P-cores and E-cores in real time, ensuring gaming, rendering, and background tasks each land on the correct core type without any user configuration. P-cores carry Hyper-Threading for a total of 24 threads, making this chip well-suited to simultaneous gaming, streaming, and content creation workloads.
Boost Technologies and Overclocking
The i9-12900KF carries Turbo Boost 2.0 and Turbo Boost Max 3.0, with the two fastest P-cores targeting up to 5.2 GHz and Adaptive Boost providing opportunistic all-core frequency uplift. The unlocked multiplier enables straightforward overclocking with Z690 chipset motherboards, with separate controls available for P-cores and E-cores independently. Both DDR4 and DDR5 memory are supported, giving flexibility across existing and new platform builds. PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 provide up to 20 combined lanes for GPU and NVMe storage, and ECC memory is supported on compatible W680 workstation chipset motherboards.
Platform Considerations
The i9-12900KF sits on the LGA 1700 socket and is compatible with Intel 600-series chipset motherboards. At 125W base power and 241W maximum turbo, a quality 360mm AIO or high-end tower cooler is strongly recommended for sustained workloads. A discrete GPU must be installed for display output as there is no integrated graphics.
⚠️ No integrated graphics — a discrete GPU must be installed for display output.
⚠️ No cooler included — a quality 360mm AIO or high-end tower cooler is recommended for this 125W/241W processor.
