The Predator DDR4 RGB is one of the most recognisable gaming memory modules ever produced, and the HX432C16PB3A/8 carries that pedigree in full. The dense black aluminium heat spreader and matching black PCB keep your rig running and looking cool, with smooth, stunning RGB lighting effects bringing your battlestation to life.

The standout feature is HyperX’s patented Infrared Sync technology: Infrared Sync allows you to keep RGB effects synchronised across modules without the need for additional cables — the modules communicate via infrared at up to 18mm working distance, enabling seamless lighting waves across sticks in a multi-module build. The factory preset RGB wave lighting effect is active out of the box, with full customisation available via HyperX NGenuity software and compatibility with ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

Performance & Dual XMP Profiles

XMP Profile #1 runs at DDR4-3200 with CL16-18-18 timings at 1.35V. XMP Profile #2 provides a fallback at DDR4-3000 with CL15-17-17 at 1.35V — a secondary profile that ensures rated overclocking performance on platforms that may not fully support DDR4-3200 from XMP Profile 1. Without XMP enabled, the SPD defaults to JEDEC DDR4-2400 at 17-17-17 at 1.2V.

💡 XMP must be enabled for rated speed: This module defaults to DDR4-2400 at JEDEC. Enable XMP 2.0 in your motherboard BIOS (Profile 1 for DDR4-3200 CL16, Profile 2 for DDR4-3000 CL15 as a fallback). Updating your BIOS before installation is recommended for best compatibility.

Build Quality & IC Topology

The HX432C16PB3A/8 is a 1Rx8 single-rank module built on eight 1G×8-bit FBGA components with gold contact fingers and a module height of 42.20mm (1.661″). The 1Rx8 configuration delivers excellent signal integrity for both single and multi-stick configurations. Predator DDR4 RGB is Intel XMP certified with profiles optimised for Intel’s latest chipsets.

⚠️ Check CPU cooler clearance: At 42.20mm tall, the Predator’s heat spreader is taller than standard heatspreadless modules. Verify your CPU cooler’s RAM clearance specification before purchasing, particularly with large tower air coolers.

The Intel XMP-ready and certified profiles are optimised for Intel’s latest chipsets and are compatible with many of AMD’s latest chipsets — just select the profile and you’re ready to go. As a single 8GB stick it operates in single-channel mode; pairing with a second HX432C16PB3A/8 enables dual-channel and, critically, unlocks the full effect of HyperX’s Infrared Sync for seamless cross-module RGB waves.
