The Core Ultra 5 225 brings a three-chip Intel architecture to the Neo 50s Gen 6: 10 cores (6 performance + 4 efficiency), 10 threads, boosting up to 4.9 GHz, with a 20MB Intel Smart Cache and a dedicated Intel AI Boost NPU delivering up to 13 TOPS. The NPU offloads AI-accelerated tasks — noise cancellation, background processing, AI-assisted apps — from the CPU, keeping the processor available for active workloads. The 16GB DDR5-5600 ships in one of two SO-DIMM slots, with a second slot free for an upgrade up to 64GB.

Storage, Connectivity & Expansion

Primary storage is a 512GB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, with the platform supporting a second M.2 SSD and a 3.5″ HDD bay for added capacity. Front I/O includes 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (15W charging), a headphone/mic combo jack, and a dedicated microphone port. 💡 The Core Ultra 5 225 is a Series 2 Intel processor (Arrow Lake architecture) — the same generation as the Ultra 7 265 in the 13DM0035SA. The performance gap between the two is meaningful under sustained load, but for typical office workloads the Ultra 5 225 is well-specced and a cost-effective entry point into the Gen 6 platform.
