Helium Sealed Design With Environmental Monitoring
The helium sealed-drive design delivers lower total cost of ownership through lower power and weight, with digital environmental sensors to monitor internal drive conditions for optimal operation and performance. Helium’s lower density reduces platter drag, enabling more platters per drive and lower operating temperatures — essential engineering at 16TB capacity in a standard 3.5″ form factor.
CMR & Enterprise Performance
The Exos X18 uses CMR to deliver consistent and predictable performance across a wide range of workloads, with up to 270 MB/s sustained transfer rate and impressive random read/write performance of 170/550 IOPS.
