The MG03ACA300 steps up from the 2TB sibling with 3TB capacity and a marginally improved sustained transfer rate of 165 MiB/s at the outer edge of the platter — a natural fit for deployments where per-drive capacity needs to increase without changing platform or infrastructure.

Superior MTTF & Error Rate

The MG03ACA series carries an MTTF of 1,200,000 hours and a non-recoverable error rate of 10 errors per 10^16 bits read — a tenfold improvement in error rate compared to the MD03ACA surveillance line and vastly superior to consumer desktop drives. This makes the MG03ACA300 particularly well-suited for RAID deployments and data-critical applications where unrecoverable read errors during RAID rebuild can cause catastrophic data loss.
