Where competing 2TB 2.5″ drives required a taller 15mm chassis and four platters, Samsung’s engineers fit three 667GB platters into the standard slim profile, making this drive unique in its ability to slot into any standard laptop bay without modification.
Quiet Operation
The M9T is notably quiet thanks to its use of NoiseGuard and SilentSeek technologies, reportedly maintaining 25 decibels while idle and 27 decibels during performance. This makes it an excellent choice for media centre PCs, HTPCs, and any build where acoustic comfort matters.
Performance
