Internal storage flexibility is one of the TSX-300’s stronger suits. It accommodates up to four 5.25″ optical or accessory bays, one exposed 3.5″ bay, and four hidden 3.5″ drive bays with side-removable trays — enough to support both an optical drive setup and a sizeable HDD array without compromise. The screw-less tool-free design extends to PCI, 3.5″, and 5.25″ bays, making drive installation and swaps quick and hassle-free without needing a screwdriver.

Built with Thermal Headroom in Mind

The TSX-300 was designed with practical thermal management as a priority. Two 120mm silent fans — one front intake, one rear exhaust — provide baseline airflow, with support for up to three fans total if additional cooling is needed. A dedicated CPU air guide on the side panel channels fresh air directly toward the processor, while a separate VGA card cooling vent helps manage GPU thermals. Water cooling pipe holes are also present for builders who want to run custom loop tubing through the chassis. The case offers large internal clearance for high-wattage power supplies and longer graphics cards.

⚠️ Buyer Tip: The TSX-300 is a legacy-era chassis. The front I/O includes USB 2.0 ports only — there is no USB 3.0 or USB-C on the front panel. The eSATA and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) ports, while useful in their time, are rarely used by modern peripherals. If fast front-panel USB access is important to your workflow, this case may not be the best fit. It remains a solid option for budget office builds, secondary systems, or HDD-heavy storage rigs where modern I/O is not a priority.
