The Navi 33 XL GPU on TSMC’s 5nm node combines 32 unified RDNA 3 compute units with dual-issue ALUs for improved theoretical throughput, second-generation Ray Accelerators with larger caches for smoother hardware ray tracing, and dedicated AI acceleration units for FSR and upscaling workloads. The 32 MB on-die Infinity Cache reduces effective memory bandwidth pressure on the narrow 128-bit bus, and hardware AV1 encode and decode support makes this card well-suited for streamers using AV1-capable software.

The Challenger dual-fan cooler uses ASRock’s striped axial fan design with an ultra-fit heatpipe for compact but effective heat dissipation. ⚠️ The 128-bit memory bus and 8 GB frame buffer are appropriate for 1080p high and ultra settings. At 1440p with maximum quality settings and heavy ray tracing, VRAM and bandwidth constraints may become a limiting factor in some titles — FSR 3 is the recommended quality mode for 1440p use on this card.
