Forty-seven rack units is as large as the Cattex perforated floor-standing range gets — and it’s a serious enclosure for serious infrastructure. The Cattex 47U 600×800 perforated cabinet is built for high-density enterprise deployments where rack space and sustained airflow are equally critical: core and distribution switching, multiple compute nodes, storage appliances, rack-mount UPS and PDU infrastructure, and structured cabling — all in a single, organised, thermally capable enclosure with room to grow. Built in South Africa to international 19-inch rack standards using precision computerised machinery, the bolted easy-assembly frame is constructed from 1.2mm cold-rolled mild steel (CRMS), phosphated and powder-coated to 50–70 microns for a robust, corrosion-resistant black finish built for the demands of a working data centre or enterprise server room.

Perforated Front, Mesh Rear, Removable Sides

At 47U, thermal management isn’t optional — it’s the design brief. The perforated lockable front door provides maximum passive airflow into the cabinet across its full height, while the double mesh rear doors exhaust warm air freely and continuously. Together they establish an unobstructed front-to-rear airflow path that keeps heat-producing equipment operating within acceptable thermal limits even under sustained, high-density load. Removable side panels ensure that a cabinet of this scale remains practical to work in — cabling, equipment installation, and maintenance are all significantly more manageable with full side access.

Fully Adjustable, Built to Last

Internal mounting rails are fully adjustable both vertically and horizontally, accommodating varied equipment depths and configurations across 800mm of internal clearance. The bolted frame construction delivers the structural rigidity required to support a fully populated 47U cabinet — stable, solid, and built to remain that way over years of continuous operation.

Ensure substantial manpower is available on-site for receipt and installation. A fully populated 47U cabinet with UPS, high-density switching, and compute infrastructure will place a very significant load on your floor — consult your building’s floor load ratings before proceeding.
