Description
Capable 14th Gen Performance for Business Use
The Core i5-14400 delivers 10 cores (6 performance + 4 efficiency), 16 threads, and a boost frequency of 4.7 GHz with a 20MB Intel Smart Cache and Intel UHD Graphics 730. It handles office productivity, video conferencing, multi-tab browsing, and light data processing comfortably, with good multi-threaded throughput for more demanding business applications. The 16GB DDR5-4800 ships in a single DIMM slot, with one slot free and a maximum ceiling of 64GB.
Storage, Expansion & Connectivity
Primary storage is a 512GB M.2 2230 PCIe NVMe SSD, with a 3.5″ HDD bay available for secondary storage. Three full-height PCIe expansion slots — one x16, two x1 — allow the addition of a discrete GPU, NIC, or other add-in card, with graphics power support up to 165W on a 360W PSU upgrade. Front I/O provides 2x USB 2.0 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and a global headset jack. The rear adds 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2x USB 2.0 Type-A (with Smart Power On), HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) — supporting dual 4K displays or up to four FHD monitors via DisplayPort daisy-chaining. MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.4 are built in, with a Kensington lock slot and padlock loop for physical security.
⚠️ The primary SSD uses QLC NAND flash in an M.2 2230 form factor. QLC drives offer lower sustained write endurance than TLC or MLC alternatives — fine for typical office use, but businesses writing large amounts of data frequently should consider adding or replacing it with a higher-endurance drive. Note also that the M.2 2230 form factor is shorter than the more common 2280, so check compatibility before purchasing a replacement or upgrade SSD.
💡 The stock 180W Bronze PSU is adequate for the i5-14400 with integrated graphics, but adding a discrete GPU will require upgrading to the optional 360W PSU — plan for this cost if GPU expansion is on the roadmap.
