The KF548C38BBAK2-16 is a 2×8GB matched kit — two 8GB modules tested and validated together by Kingston for dual-channel operation. Installing both modules in your motherboard’s recommended paired DIMM slots activates dual-channel mode from the outset, doubling effective memory bandwidth compared to a single 8GB or 16GB stick. This is the first kit listing in this memory range; all previous DDR5 modules are sold as single sticks. For DDR5 systems targeting dual-channel from day one, this kit is the appropriate starting point.

XMP 3.0: Next-Generation Overclocking

The Fury Beast DDR5 is the first module in this range to support Intel XMP 3.0 — the DDR5-generation successor to XMP 2.0. XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO™ are the two new DDR5 overclock specs that include customizable profiles for speeds and timings, with Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 covering compatible overclock solutions for both platforms. XMP 3.0 allows for up to five stored profiles (compared to XMP 2.0’s two), and supports user-customisable profile slots stored directly on the module’s SPD hub — a DDR5-specific capability not available on any DDR4 XMP 2.0 module. Enabling XMP 3.0 in BIOS unlocks DDR5-4800 at CL38 at 1.1V; the JEDEC default without XMP is typically DDR5-4800 at CL40.

⚠️ XMP 3.0 for rated CL38 timings: Without enabling XMP 3.0 in BIOS, this kit defaults to JEDEC DDR5-4800 at CL40. Enable XMP 3.0 to unlock the rated CL38-38-38 profile. AMD EXPO is also supported for Ryzen 7000 (AM5) platforms.

RGB Lighting & Heat Spreader

The integrated heat spreader features RGB lighting that can be customised to your liking when paired with your motherboard manufacturer’s dedicated software. The Fury Beast DDR5 RGB heat spreader is newly designed — combining bold styling and prodigious cooling functionality — while keeping a profile compatible with the majority of tower CPU coolers. RGB sync compatibility covers ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

DDR5 Platform Features

On-die ECC (ODECC) helps maintain data integrity to sustain ultimate performance while pushing the limits. Boosted by double the banks and burst length and two independent 32-bit subchannels, DDR5’s exceptional handling of data shines with the latest games, programs and demanding applications. Advanced pre-optimised timings, speed and voltage for overclocking performance, with the ability to save new user-customisable profiles utilising a programmable PMIC.

DDR5 Platform Requirements

DDR5 is not compatible with DDR4 motherboards or slots. A DDR5-capable motherboard and CPU is required — Intel 12th generation or later on a DDR5-compatible board, or AMD Ryzen 7000 series (AM5) or later. XMP 3.0 is natively supported on Intel 12th gen and later; AMD EXPO is supported on AM5 platforms.
