The CSS326-24G-2S+RM is powered by a Marvell DX switch chip and runs SwOS — an operating system designed specifically for MikroTik switch products — configurable entirely from your web browser. It delivers everything a small-to-medium business or homelab needs from a managed switch, at a price that makes unmanaged alternatives look inadequate.

Non-Blocking Wire-Speed Switching

The Marvell DX switch chip architecture delivers high-speed and efficient data routing that eliminates bottlenecks and delivers lag-free communication. The non-blocking Layer 2 switching capacity guarantees efficient data handling even in demanding environments — enabling simultaneous data transmission across all ports without congestion. With a 16K host table, it handles large networks with ease.

Dual 10G SFP+ Uplinks

Two SFP+ cages accept both 1.25 Gb SFP and 10 Gb SFP+ modules, giving you the flexibility to connect to fibre uplinks, 10GbE backbone switches, or high-speed NAS devices. Whether you’re running a homelab or a small business server room, the 10G uplinks ensure your aggregation layer is never the bottleneck.

Comprehensive Managed Switch Features

A full suite of managed switching capabilities is included: IEEE 802.1Q VLAN support with up to 4K simultaneous VLANs, port isolation, port security, broadcast storm control, port mirroring of ingress and egress traffic, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, Access Control Lists, MikroTik neighbour discovery, and SNMP v1. Bandwidth limitation per port allows traffic shaping for QoS-conscious deployments.

SwOS — Browser-Based Management

SwOS provides a clean, purpose-built web interface for switch management — no CLI knowledge required for day-to-day operation. MAC filtering, port-to-port forwarding management, VLAN configuration, traffic mirroring, and bandwidth limitation are all accessible from the SwOS interface, along with the ability to adjust MAC and IP header fields.

Passive PoE Input & Fanless Operation

The switch accepts passive PoE input (12–30V) on the power jack alongside a standard DC connector, with a supported input voltage range of 8–30V. Completely fanless operation means zero noise — ideal for office environments, media rooms, and quiet homelab setups where fan noise is unacceptable.

Free Lifetime SwOS Updates

The device ships with SwOS pre-installed and fully licensed. No separate software purchase is required, and MikroTik provides free software updates for the life of the product — a significant long-term value advantage over competing managed switch brands.

⚠️ Important Notes:

• CSS326 runs SwOS only — it does not support RouterOS or Layer 3 routing. If you require inter-VLAN routing or Layer 3 features, consider the CRS326-24G-2S+RM which supports dual-boot RouterOS/SwOS.
• Passive PoE input only — this switch does not provide PoE output to connected devices. A separate PoE injector or PoE switch is required to power PoE end devices.
• SFP/SFP+ modules not included — compatible modules must be purchased separately for fibre or 10G uplink connectivity.
