Power Delivery & Platform

The PRO X870E-P WiFi is built around the AMD X870E chipset with AM5 socket support for Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series processors, powered by a 14+2+1 Duet Rail Power System using 60A SPS stages with dual 8-pin CPU power connectors. The board uses an 8-layer PCB constructed from server-grade material with 2oz thickened copper and all-new Surface Mount Technology (SMT) solder welding for improved signal clarity. MSI’s Core Boost and EZ OC Tuning allow the board to sustain heavy CPU power loads without instability.

Storage

Three M.2 slots are available — one at PCIe 5.0 and two at PCIe 4.0 — alongside four SATA 6Gb/s ports. The PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot is covered by MSI’s EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II heatsink, which combines 7W/mK MOSFET thermal pads with an extended heatsink design for effective SSD thermal management.
