The TUF Gaming RX 6700 XT OC runs AMD’s Navi 22 silicon at 40 compute units and 2560 stream processors, with a factory boost clock pushed to 2622 MHz in OC mode and a game clock of 2534 MHz — both meaningfully above AMD’s reference figures. The 12GB GDDR6 frame buffer runs at 16 Gbps across a 192-bit bus, backed by 96MB of AMD Infinity Cache that substantially lifts effective memory bandwidth beyond what the bus width alone would suggest. AMD Smart Access Memory (SAM), FreeSync Premium Pro, DirectX 12 Ultimate, hardware ray tracing, and FSR 1, 2, and 3 are all supported. What separates this card from other RX 6700 XT models isn’t the silicon — it’s everything around it.

All-Aluminium Shroud, Vented Backplate, 144-Hour Validation

Where most GPU cooler shrouds are injection-moulded plastic, the TUF Gaming uses an all-aluminium shroud — more rigid, better at dissipating surface heat, and considerably more substantial to handle. A reinforced internal metal frame adds structural integrity across the card’s 322mm length, while the vented metal backplate actively contributes to airflow by allowing hot air to escape rather than recirculate back through the heatsink array. Every TUF Gaming card goes through ASUS’s 144-hour validation programme — an extended compatibility and stability test suite that covers the latest game titles and system configurations before the card ships. The MaxContact heat spreader uses a machined-flat surface for improved contact with the GPU die, reducing thermal resistance at the point that matters most.

Triple Axial-Tech Fans — More Blades, Ball Bearings, New Rotation Scheme

ASUS’s Axial-tech fans on the TUF Gaming carry more blades than the standard Dual variant and run a new rotation scheme — the centre fan spins in the opposite direction to the outer two, reducing turbulence between adjacent fans and improving airflow consistency across the heatsink. Dual ball fan bearings on all three fans are rated to last approximately twice as long as sleeve-bearing designs — a meaningful durability advantage for a card positioned as a long-term performer. ASUS GPU Tweak II provides fan curve control, overclocking, voltage management, and real-time monitoring. A front-side RGB strip is controllable via Aura Sync for integration with other ASUS components.
