Sixteen rack units in a floor-standing form factor sits in a practical sweet spot — more capacity and better structural stability than a wall-mount cabinet, without the full footprint commitment of a 27U or 42U unit. The Cattex 16U 600×800 is the right call when your installation has outgrown what a wallbox can offer but doesn’t yet justify a large floor-standing rack. It comfortably accommodates a structured cabling backbone alongside active networking and compute equipment — patch panels, managed switching, a firewall, a small server, and a rack-mount UPS — in a secure, organised, floor-standing enclosure. Built in South Africa to international 19-inch rack standards using precision computerised machinery, the bolted easy-assembly frame is constructed from 1.2mm cold-rolled mild steel (CRMS), phosphated and powder-coated to 50–70 microns for a durable, corrosion-resistant black finish.

Glass Front, Mesh Rear, Removable Sides

The lockable glass front door keeps installed equipment clearly visible while maintaining a clean, professional appearance — a combination that works equally well in a dedicated server room or a client-facing environment. Mesh double rear doors provide the ventilation needed to keep a populated cabinet running within thermal limits under sustained load. Removable side panels round out the access story, making cabling, equipment swaps, and maintenance straightforward in a cabinet that’s designed to be worked in, not just looked at.

Fully Adjustable, Built to Last

Internal mounting rails are fully adjustable both vertically and horizontally to accommodate varied equipment depths and configurations within 800mm of internal clearance. The bolted frame construction delivers a clean, rigid enclosure once assembled — solid and stable whether lightly loaded or running close to full capacity.
