The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 OC brings ASUS’s flagship Strix cooling platform to the entry-level Ampere tier, delivering thermal performance that significantly outpaces what the GPU’s power envelope demands. The 2.7-slot three-fan heatsink is genuinely oversized for a 130W card — the same physical cooling solution used on far more powerful Strix variants — which means temperatures stay well within comfort margins under sustained load, fan speeds remain low and quiet, and there is meaningful thermal headroom for pushing clocks beyond the factory OC with GPU Tweak III.

The triple Axial-tech fan arrangement uses a reversed rotation scheme on the central fan to reduce turbulence at the point where adjacent fan airflows meet, improving flow consistency across the full heatsink surface. The 0dB fan stop mode halts all three fans when GPU temperature drops below 42°C and power draw is low — delivering completely silent operation during desktop use, video playback, and undemanding tasks. Aura Sync RGB illuminates the shroud and integrates with ASUS’s full ecosystem of compatible components for coordinated lighting across the system.

⚠️ The RTX 3050 supports DLSS 2 (Super Resolution) — it does not support DLSS 3 Frame Generation or DLSS 4, which are exclusive to RTX 40 and RTX 50 series cards respectively. For DLSS 3 Frame Generation, an RTX 4060 or higher is required.

⚠️ The 128-bit memory bus and 8 GB GDDR6 frame buffer are well-matched to 1080p gaming at medium to high settings. Memory-intensive titles at maximum 1080p or 1440p quality settings may approach bandwidth limits in demanding scenes. DLSS Quality mode is the recommended approach for 1440p use.
