The B650M D3HP AX is the wireless-equipped variant of the B650M D3HP, adding Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 to an otherwise identical platform. It brings the same 5+2+2 phase digital VRM, dual DisplayPort 1.4 plus HDMI 2.1 triple-display rear output, two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, Realtek 2.5GbE LAN, EZ-Latch on the primary PCIe x16 slot, and Q-Flash Plus as its non-AX sibling — making it the more practical choice for any environment where a wired network drop isn’t available or where wireless connectivity is needed from day one without additional adapters. The dual DisplayPort plus HDMI output configuration remains a standout feature at this price tier, well-suited for multi-monitor office and workstation deployments on iGPU-equipped Ryzen processors.

⚠️ B650 supports CPU overclocking, but the 5+2+2 VRM is best matched to 65W TDP processors under sustained load. 105W CPUs run at stock without issue. Sustained all-core overclocking or high-TDP Ryzen 9 builds are outside the comfort zone of this power stage — step up to the B650M Aorus Elite AX for those use cases.

💡 The Wi-Fi module varies by PCB revision. Rev 1.0/1.2 uses a Realtek RTL8852CE (Wi-Fi 6E, 2.4/5/6 GHz, BT 5.3). Verify the revision in the box if the specific wireless chipset matters for your deployment.

Memory and Storage

Four DDR5 DIMM slots support dual-channel operation up to 256 GB, with AMD EXPO and XMP profiles reaching DDR5-8000 (OC). M2A_CPU is CPU-connected at PCIe 4.0 x4 (64 Gb/s) across all supported CPU generations, supporting the extended 2580 form factor as well as standard 2280. M2C_SB is chipset-connected at PCIe 4.0 x4/x2 and supports 22110 and 2280. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports handle additional storage, with RAID 0/1/10 supported for both SATA and NVMe.

⚠️ Neither M.2 slot reaches PCIe 5.0 speeds — the fastest tier on this board is PCIe 4.0 x4 (64 Gb/s). For Gen5 NVMe, the B650M Aorus Elite AX is the appropriate step up.

⚠️ No M.2 heatsinks are included. For sustained NVMe workloads, thermal pads or an aftermarket M.2 heatsink are recommended, particularly for M2A_CPU.

Connectivity and I/O

Rear I/O provides one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (5 Gbps), three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5 Gbps), and two USB 2.0 ports — six rear USB ports, all limited to Gen1 speeds. Front panel connectivity includes a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C header, a Gen1 header for two further Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 headers covering four additional ports. Dual DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 on the rear support triple simultaneous display output for iGPU-equipped processors. Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax, 2.4/5/6 GHz, 160 MHz) and Bluetooth 5.3 are onboard alongside Realtek 2.5GbE LAN. Fan headers consist of one CPU fan and two system fan headers — three total, all 4-pin PWM/DC with Smart Fan 6 control and FAN STOP. RGB is provided via two Addressable Gen2 (ARGB) headers and one standard RGB LED header.

⚠️ No USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) ports are present anywhere on this board — the fastest USB speed available is Gen1 at 5 Gbps on both rear and front panel.

⚠️ Only three fan headers are present. Builds with multiple chassis fans will need a fan splitter or hub.

⚠️ Integrated display output (dual DisplayPort + HDMI) requires a Ryzen processor with integrated Radeon graphics. Non-G Ryzen 7000/9000 CPUs require a discrete GPU.
