Heat Spreader & Build Quality

The Vulcan Z uses a 0.8mm one-piece alloy aluminium heat spreader formed through a punch-press process, giving it a rigid, low-profile build. The electrolytic anodising finish resists corrosion and is non-conductive, while a thermally conductive adhesive layer ensures efficient heat transfer from the ICs to the spreader. At 1.35V operating voltage, it runs cooler than standard DDR4 modules, making it well-suited for compact builds or systems without aggressive airflow.

Performance & Overclocking

Out of the box the module runs at its JEDEC base frequency — typically DDR4-2133 or DDR4-2400 — and achieves its rated DDR4-3200 speed once XMP 2.0 is enabled in the BIOS. Timings are CL16-18-18-38 at 1.35V, landing it squarely in the mainstream performance tier for DDR4. All ICs are individually selected through Team Group’s quality control process for stability and consistency.

⚠️ XMP required for rated speed: Without enabling XMP 2.0 (Intel) or DOCP/EXPO (AMD) in your motherboard BIOS, this module will default to DDR4-2133 or DDR4-2400. This is normal behaviour, not a defect.

Compatibility

This is a standard 288-pin DIMM compatible with Intel and AMD DDR4 desktop platforms. It fits any motherboard with a DDR4 slot — AM4, LGA1200, LGA1700 (where DDR4 is supported), and similar. As a single 8GB module it can be paired with a second identical stick for dual-channel operation, or used standalone in a single-channel configuration.

⚠️ Check your motherboard’s QVL: While broadly compatible, final operating frequency depends on your specific motherboard, CPU, and BIOS revision. Confirm DDR4-3200 support before purchasing, particularly on older Intel chipsets.

💡 This is the grey, single-stick (1×8GB) variant — not a dual-channel kit. A BIOS update is recommended before installation to ensure the best compatibility and XMP stability.
