The B650M H is deliberately minimal — it takes the B650 chipset’s key advantage over A620 (CPU overclocking support) and packages it in the simplest Micro-ATX build possible, stripping away D-Sub display output, RGB and ARGB headers, and the 2.5GbE upgrade found on higher-tier boards. For builders who simply need AM5, CPU OC headroom, and a working wired display connection — and nothing else — this is the appropriate board. The 5+2+2 phase digital VRM handles mainstream Ryzen builds cleanly within its limits, EZ-Latch makes graphics card removal tool-free, and Q-Flash Plus covers BIOS updates without needing a CPU or RAM installed. Smart Fan 6 provides multi-sensor fan control with hybrid PWM/DC, FAN STOP, and dual fan curve modes across three headers.

⚠️ B650 supports CPU overclocking, but the 5+2+2 VRM is best matched to 65W TDP processors under sustained workloads. 105W CPUs run at stock without issue, but sustained all-core overclocking pushes this power stage to its limits. For heavier OC use or high-TDP Ryzen 9 builds, step up to the B650M-K or B650M Aorus Elite.

Memory and Storage

Two DDR5 DIMM slots support dual-channel operation up to 128 GB, with AMD EXPO and XMP profiles reaching DDR5-7200 (OC). The single CPU-connected M.2 slot (M2A_CPU) runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 (64 Gb/s) across all supported CPU generations and accepts both 2580 and standard 2280 form factor drives. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports handle additional storage, with RAID 0/1/10 supported for both SATA and NVMe.

⚠️ Only one M.2 slot is present with no chipset M.2. Additional NVMe drives cannot be installed and extra storage must use the SATA ports.

⚠️ Only two DIMM slots are present — maximum 128 GB across two matched sticks. Builders who need four DIMM slots or more capacity should consider the B650M-K (4× DIMM, 256 GB) instead.

Connectivity and I/O

Rear I/O provides two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5 Gbps, CPU) and three USB 2.0 Type-A (chipset), alongside a PS/2 keyboard/mouse combo port, DisplayPort 1.4 (4K 144Hz), HDMI 2.1 (4K 60Hz), and the Q-Flash Plus button. There is no D-Sub output, no USB Type-C, and no 2.5GbE on this board. Front panel connectivity is handled by one USB 3.2 Gen1 header and two USB 2.0 headers. Realtek Gigabit LAN (1GbE) handles wired networking. Fan headers consist of one CPU fan and two system fan headers — three total, all 4-pin PWM/DC with Smart Fan 6 control and FAN STOP.

⚠️ No RGB or ARGB headers are present on this board — LED lighting control is entirely absent. The B650M S2H is the direct equivalent with 1× ARGB and 1× RGB header added.

⚠️ No USB Type-C is present on this board — neither rear nor as a front panel header.

⚠️ LAN speed is 1 Gigabit only — no 2.5GbE. No onboard Wi-Fi and no M.2 Key E slot.

⚠️ Integrated display output (HDMI/DisplayPort) requires a Ryzen processor with integrated Radeon graphics. Non-G Ryzen 7000/9000 CPUs require a discrete GPU.
