Quad-Core Comet Lake in the Tall BRIX Chassis

The Gigabyte BRIX GB-BRi7H-10510 is the quad-core sibling of the GB-BRi7H-10710, sharing the same tall BRIX chassis, dual-storage layout, and connectivity stack while pairing those platform advantages with the Intel Core i7-10510U — a four-core, eight-thread Comet Lake processor with a higher single-core boost (4.9 GHz vs the six-core 10710U’s 4.7 GHz). For workloads that are predominantly single-threaded or lightly multi-threaded — everyday office productivity, web browsing, document processing, video conferencing, and media playback — the i7-10510U’s higher boost frequency gives it a responsiveness edge over the 10710U in those specific scenarios, while the 10710U’s additional two cores and four threads pull ahead in sustained heavy multi-threaded workloads.

The tall chassis adds a 2.5″ SATA 6G bay for a secondary HDD or SATA SSD alongside the M.2 NVMe primary slot — a practical dual-storage configuration for builds requiring both fast NVMe boot storage and high-capacity mechanical or SATA storage. The six-port USB stack (one Type-C Gen2 + five Type-A Gen2, all at 10 Gbps), serial port, optical S/PDIF, consumer IR sensor, and dual VESA mount plates carry over identically from the 10710H variant.

⚠️ No RAM or SSD is included — DDR4 SODIMMs (DDR4-2400/2666, up to 64 GB across 2 slots) and at least one storage drive must be purchased separately before the system can be used.

⚠️ The Intel Core i7-10510U (10th Gen Comet Lake) is not on Microsoft’s Windows 11 supported CPU list. This system is recommended for use with Windows 10 (reached end of support October 2025) or a Linux distribution.

⚠️ Wireless is Wireless-AC (Wi-Fi 5, Intel AC 3168, 433 Mbps, dual-band, 2.4/5 GHz only) — not Wi-Fi 6 or 6E.

⚠️ LAN is Gigabit Ethernet only — no 2.5 GbE. Display outputs are 2× HDMI only — no DisplayPort, no USB-C video output.

💡 The i7-10510U’s 4.9 GHz single-core boost is marginally higher than the i7-10710U’s 4.7 GHz — for single-threaded responsiveness the 10510U has the edge. For sustained multi-core workloads (video encoding, data processing, virtualisation), the 10710U’s six cores are the better choice.
